About this design
A compact, accurate sealed monitor. 14 L gives the SB17 a Qtc of ~0.64 (Fc ~62 Hz) for tight, well-damped bass that's forgiving of room placement. The Dayton ND25FA neodymium dome crosses in at 2.5 kHz on an LR4 slope. Add baffle-step compensation (~3-6 dB) in the crossover for a flat in-room balance. Both drivers are 4 Ω, so the system is a nominal 4 Ω load.
